Create a job and set up your pipeline
Create a job at https://app.happlicant.com/jobs with the Create Job button. Every new job gets its own Kanban pipeline with five default stages and an application page that candidates can apply through.
Create a job
Jobs live in the Jobs section at https://app.happlicant.com/jobs. Fill in the job details once and the pipeline is created for you.
Open the Jobs section and click Create Job.
Fill in the job form: Job Name, Contract Type, Job Description, Location, Type, Client, Owner, Salary Range (Optional), Number of Hires, Fee Type, and Job Status.
Choose the contract type: Permanent, Temporary, or Contract to hire.
Click Create Job. The job is created and appears in the All Jobs listing, and the job's Kanban pipeline opens.
How the default stages work
A new job normally starts with five stages: Inbox, Screening, Interview, Offer, and Placement. Inbox is locked at the beginning of the pipeline and Placement is locked at the end, so every job always has a single entry point and a single end point. The stages between them can be renamed and customized.
New stages are added with Add Stage, and you can reorder stages by dragging and dropping them.
Change a job status
The job status controls whether the job accepts applications. The default statuses are Open, Paused, Closed, and Archived:
Open accepts applications.
Paused temporarily pauses applications.
Closed completes the job and stops applications.
Archived removes the job from normal views.
Global settings vs job settings
Pipeline stages can be set globally or per job, and the two serve different purposes. Global stage configuration lives under Settings, then Job Settings (https://app.happlicant.com/settings?tab=opening). The global stage names and colors are what dashboards, reports, and charts aggregate by. Job-specific pipeline changes are made directly in that job's Kanban pipeline.
Global application settings under Settings, Job Settings affect new jobs only. To change the application setup for a job that already exists, use that job's own settings.
You can also create custom job statuses under global Job Settings.
Preview the application page
Every new job automatically gets an application page. You can preview it from the pipeline's Preview button.
By default the application page shows the job name, job description, location, and type. The client name is not shown to applicants.
